With more than 700,000 job openings coming to Washington state by 2021, our students can choose the career pathway of their choice after high school – from becoming a nurse to an electrical line worker to a teacher or an engineer.

How can students make the most of their education before they graduate high school, so they’re ready with the skills and knowledge they’ll need for success in college, an apprenticeship, or other training?

That’s where Ready Washington can help. We are a group of more than 20 education agencies and advocates who believe all Washington students should be prepared to pursue the career pathway of their dreams.

Since 2013, Ready Washington has provided students, families and teachers with clear, easy-to-use information that helps students connect their learning to their career paths and aspirations. Our online resources, such as videos, posters, graphics, and fact sheets in multiple languages, offer practical guidance for students as they learn, explore, and prepare for jobs, education, and training after high school.
